Civil & structural engineering · Eastern Cape, South Africa
Infrastructure outlives its designers.
For municipalities, provincial departments, funders and developers in the Eastern Cape who need civil and structural engineering they can defend to auditors and the public, NTA is the practice whose work reads as quietly established rather than newly ambitious.

How we work
Designed once, documented properly.
Most of what goes wrong on an infrastructure project was decided before anyone opened a drawing package. Our process is arranged to catch those decisions early and record them plainly.
01
We start from the ground
Survey and site investigation before design, every time. What is on the ground decides the engineering; assumptions made at a desk cost money later.
02
We document to be audited
Public money is spent under scrutiny. Drawings, reports and revision records are prepared to be defended to an auditor or a funder years after handover.
03
We stay until it is built
Design and construction monitoring sit with the same team. The engineer who specified the work is the engineer who checks it was done.

A small firm, deliberately.
NTA works on the infrastructure people use without thinking about it: the road to a school, the culvert that keeps a street from flooding, the bridge that shortens a walk to the clinic.
The director is personally involved in every commission. That sets a firm ceiling on how much work we take on, and it is why clients speak to the engineer who did the work rather than an account manager.
